James McLure's one-act plays, written as companion pieces, are both set in small town Texas with character arcs that overlap both stories. Lone Star is a side-splitting study of three 'good ol' boys on a Friday night carouse in a Texas honky-tonk bar. Laundry & Bourbon features three unhappy and gossiping small-town wives whose marriages are less than ideal, but a strong friendship and a splash of bourbon see them through.
